This fine vintage sterling silver armada dish has a circular rounded form.
The subtly domed convex circular well is plain and unembellished.
The broad rim is encircled with two bands of tooled decoration and bears the contemporary engraved inscription ‘The gift of the members of the Northern Architectural Association to Robert Mackellar Esqre M.B.E. in recognition of his valued services as honorary secretary during the years 1953-1959’.
Condition
This vintage silver armada dish is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. The dish has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition. Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the rim are all clear in keeping with age and due to location.
