Inspired by cabinets of curiosity, and naturalized insects, we’ve created an imaginary new specimen of insect, that can be use as a side table !
We privilege bright colors, and use materials in an unconventional way, in order to obtain these singular, warm and dynamic pieces, as a kind of remedy to melancholy.
Attaching great importance to the composition, we thought this side table as well as a sculpture and a painting.
The legs were turned from solid maple wood, then bleached to contrast with our choice of leather colors. The top is made of a turned wood base then covered with leather using the handmade leather art marquetry technique.
The rounded part underneath was covered with leather, piece by piece, in a random way letting the creation happen and the patterns appear as we go along.
