This is a high, end custom-built set with ornate wood, beautiful silk fabric stuffed with hog hair. Much furniture you find of this style is broken down, stained or torn. Not this set. Quality wood and fabric. While the Deutsch Bros went bankrupt and closed in the mid 1920’s, they were said to have later been commissioned in the 50s to make furniture for Jackie Kennedy of the same Louis XV style. While this brand can be found, it is rare to find these.

moreVery good condition for a 100 year old couch, but does have 6 or so 1″ fray spots on top of couch from sun exposure, so best to put this in a spot where no sun hits it (see last 2 pics). I closed the shades once I saw it. It is hard to see the spots from far away. But even if you decide to get reupholstered some day, the custom frame is worth the price. One small pink stain bottom right on front couch back. Hard to see. See 3rd to last pic. less
