Stool with ‘quercus robur’ oak seat and pointed acacia legs. Spiked acacia is a wood native to North America that grows wild in Galicia. This wood is especially complicated to work with because of its knots, so its application to the legs, respecting the nature of the material, is a real success for the carpenter.
The design processes of the Galician craftsman Agustín Soage are often conditioned by the use of remains of fine wood that in the vast majority of carpentries would be used for firewood or simply discarded. Thus, each piece is unique and enhances the beauty, nobility and quality of the materials that arrive at the workshop of its author.
