A massive antique copper pot, made with a forged iron hanging handle. The handles have 7-?” extensions that would be used to suspend the metal pot over a heat source, often an open flame. The exterior has become blackened and weathered from use. Given few people have fireplaces large enough to accommodate such a massive vessel, today, the pot could be used just outside the fireplace as a stylish place to store firewood and/or kindling. Its aged finish will only improve with time and with each log tossed in. So many applications can be found for this unique and unusual antique copper pot.
