Italian Postmodern glossy black lacquer “Sheraton” sideboard, designed by Giotto Stoppino (Italian, 1926-2011) and Lodovico Acerbis (Italian, b.1939) for Acerbis International, c.1977, long overhanging top, dual sliding doors, opening to stack of four drawers, shelf, on tubular legs, approx 30.5″h, 102.5″w, 22.5″d
Massive, monumental piece.
Pictures don’t do it justice.
It’s a solid black lacquer but everything reflects in pictures so it doesn’t necessarily represent as solid black.
Doors open by sliding sideways over other door.
Back is also fully lacquered.
Could easily float as an island or divider in a space and look stunning from every angle.
They still make these. They start at $6800 US and take a 3 month lead time.
