A delightful and very finely made antique continental, probably German, porcelain lidded jug modeled as Mr. Punch seated on a barrel and dating from circa 1900 or earlier. The figure has moulded detail and is nicely hand painted in naturalistic colors and wears a peaked crown shaped hat which forms the cover with a pouting handle attached to the back. The jug is not marked.
