Antique Bassarabian Rug 5’2” x 13’10”

The very dark brick to chocolate field of this South Russian piece shows pairs of floral vases and verdant wreaths at each end, flanking an enthroned female figures with more floral vases and architectural elements to the sides. Progressive flower border. Accents in tangerine, goldenrod, rust, straw, cream, teal and chocolate. Tapestry weave. All wool construction, woven in two sections. Good condition. Interesting wall hanging.
