Vintage Design
Museum class subject. An outstanding example of the Art Nouveau style.
The chairs have a fairly simple, elegant, delicate form with a perfectly balanced, not exaggerated, symmetrically composed decoration. The character is given by Art Nouveau lines of support, with a slightly bent middle and corners. The bottom of the back is also attracted by the element carved in the shape of a turbinate ornament with engraved floral motifs. The rear, saber-shaped, inwardly rotated legs contrast with completely straight, but decorative carved, baluster-like legs. The chair has a upholstered seat and abdomen on both sides.
The uniqueness and value of objects is preserved in great condition, original upholstery in a subdued, light green color. The fabric was decorated in the jacquard technique – the pattern was obtained by varying the threads of the threads creating a slippery and shiny background and matte decoration. The repetitive part of the pattern, called the report, is very wide. Symmetrically composed fabric with a broad report, significantly increasing production costs, is another advantage of the furniture.
