Antique 19th Century Austrian rare solid silver & enamel rock crystal set of three spoons. Scallop shaped carved rock crystal bowls set with highly decorative, pierced and enamelled, cast solid silver handles, comes in its original retail case. Hallmarked Austrian-Hungarian Dog head (800 standard), circa 1890.
Pieces such as there were produced by prolific artisans such as Hermann Ratzersdorfer, Hermann Bohm, Ludwig Politzer, Rudolf Linke presented the excellent craftsmanship of Austrian enamelling in the last third of the 19th century. Nowadays, his splendid decorative silver items are sought after by the collectors.
