Contemporary Design
Three-legged low table in spiked acacia wood. Spiked acacia is a wood native to North America that grows wild in Galicia. This wood is especially complicated to work with because of its knots, so this piece is another example of the experienced hand and know-how of its author.
The design processes of the Galician craftsman Agustín Soage are often conditioned by the use of remains of noble wood that in the vast majority of carpentries would be used for firewood or simply discarded. Thus, each piece is unique and highlights the beauty, nobility and quality of the materials that arrive at his workshop.
