Sideboard in Violet Wood Veneer, Louis XV style, with a crossbow front opening by two doors. The latter – as well as the sides – are embellished with Butterfly Wing Inlays, with double frieze frames, the first in Chevron, the second in wire, or vice versa. The central, curved element is an integral part of the right-hand door. It is decorated with four vertical Chevron bands and has an original cut-out Bronze door lock. The piece of furniture is supplied with its key, also period. The left door is fitted with top and bottom metal clasps. Note that these two moving leaves are mounted on offset brass lighters.
The interior, in Oak, offers two storage compartments, formed by the presence of a 32 cm deep shelf placed on fixed slats.
The top is Pyrenean Granite Marble with a predominance of Red with shades of Grey and White. It is cut at the front, corners and sides along the lines of the piece of furniture and is moulded all around.
The front uprights of this Chest of Drawers are in half-rounds and the cul-de-lampe is trimmed with a Bronze foliage.
The whole rests on four curved legs, inlaid with herringbone Violet wood and finished with four brass shoes.
This sideboard, whose height on legs evokes a Jumper Chest of Drawers, is decorated with Pretty and Delicate Wooden Games. One will also appreciate the infrequent design of this piece of furniture, which makes it possible to imagine it supporting a Bronze, positioned under a Mirror, and furnished with Glassware for example.
