An Incredible 19th Century Moser Ruby Red Crystal Enameled Gilt Pitcher with Applied Enamel Parrot and Enameled and Gilt Surface Leaves. Of pinched quatrefoil form, in translucent amberline or ruby red crystal, decorated with trailing oak-boughs applied with platinum acorns and bas-relief bird to the body, inscribed 8474 Moser D180 to underside. The incredible hand-applied parrot on the front of the pitcher is all hand-enameled with a multitude of colors which include, red, green, blue, yellow, and orange. Each of the parrots feathers are hand-detailed with an extraordinary amount of workmanship. All around the parrot are oak leaves, which are also hand-enameled in an array of colors and further adorned with gilding all in 24K gold. The bottom is signed “Moser” and has all the necessary inventory numbers by Moser.
