While known primarily for his lighting design and his long career as an entrepreneur, this 1980s postmodern “Squiggle” desk was designed by the prolific American designer Ron Rezek. This desk has a dark gray “colorcore” Formica table top, powder coated gray and black speckled corrugated aluminum legs, and a black aluminum wire management holder above the desk’s modesty panel. This is an extraordinarily rare piece.
In an article contemporary for Squiggle line of table’s release, the New York Times said “The furniture recalls the corrugated metal siding and roofing used widely by local architects and here was elegantly adapted into fresh designs with spirit and humor.”
In good vintage condition with wear consistent with age and use, including a few scratches to the desk top. Pieces are interchangeable with white version also for sale, so colors can be mixed and matched. Will be disassembled and shipped flat but it is very easy to reassemble.
