Vintage Design
A beautiful example of a Haagse School (The Hague School) style Dutch Art Deco armchair. In contrary to the Amsterdam School, this architecture and design movement characterizes itself by the sharp contracting lines and the functionality rather than the aesthetics. This armchair is newly upholstered in black velvet with a paisley-like pattern in it. Notice the V-shapes and the subtle use of dark Coromandel wood at the leg-ends.
