Pair of Chippendale style armchairs in red lacquered wood standing on four legs: cabriole front legs with a decor of the cartouche, foliage and shell, claw and ball feet. Saber back legs ending with simple shoes. Arm support behind the leg line; S-shape arms with acanthus leaves decor. Openwork fiddle back decorated with acanthus leaves and scrolls on the stiles and central splat adorned with openwork heart, scrolls, acanthus leaves, C-crest, and cartouche.

Work realized circa 1880.
Trim entirely reupholstered with a Rubelli fabric, CASABLANCA reference. Rubelli is a historical Venetian fabric manufacture and was created in the late 19th century with now workshops in Cuccagio, Italy, in the former Zanchi workshops. This Manufacture produces high quality and luxury fabrics, also used for La Scala or La Fenice theaters.
