Vintage Design
Set of six ‘Revolt’ chairs with the original ciranol seats an rests in a very rare original dark salmon and blue colour combination, designed by Friso Kramer for Ahrend de Cirkel, Netherlands, 1953.
This soft red and blue combination was probably a customized order and only produced small-scale. We have never seen this combination before on this highly wanted ‘Revolt’ model.
Nowadays the ‘Revolt’ chair by Friso Kramer is mentioned in one go with the designs of Jean Prouvé, Le Corbusier and Charlotte Perriand; the Revolt chair is in the permanent collection of the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris.
