Vintage Design
Significant lacquered parchment and marble console table made in Cantu, Italy in 1959. Cantú was for a long time a center for furniture production of importance designed by great designers such as Gio Ponti, Paolo Buffa, and Ico Parisi to name a few. The console has a top in Portuguese rosé marble and resting on a black Portoro marble near the floor. The marble top is resting on a base with four drawers that have angles and curves making this an eye-catching piece. Recognized as Italian mid-Century Modern but with a Hollywood Regency flair. This piece is in its original condition and has not been restored or altered. There is also a matching credenza, dining table and a small coffee table which we have available in another listing.
