Jean Mascii (1926-2003), an Italian-born French artist, crafted nearly 1500 cinema posters and over 250 book covers, as well as visuals for press and advertising. Renowned for his prolific output, he stood among France’s foremost creators of movie posters, alongside luminaries such as René Ferracci, Clément Hurel, Michel Landi, Constantin Belinsky, and Boris Grinsson. His portfolio boasted posters for cinematic classics like “The Good, The Bad & The Ugly,” “Goldfinger,” “Cool Hand Luke,” “Eyes Without A Face,” “Giant,” and “King Creole,” among numerous others.
This exceptional poster for the timeless classic is in pristine mint condition and has been mounted in a custom made black frame with perspex for long-lasting preservation and display. Featuring striking artwork by Jean Mascii depicting Bond in combat with Goldfinger’s henchman Oddjob, the poster is an original piece from the film’s initial 1964 release.
