Contemporary Design
Handmade pine stool with sapele wood sleepers. Sapelly is an African tropical species similar in tone to other tropical woods such as teak. The combination of the most autochthonous and extended wood of the Galician flora with the material of tropical origin, turns this functional stool of classic design into a really special piece.
The design processes of the Galician craftsman Agustín Soage are often conditioned by the use of remains of fine wood that in the vast majority of carpentries would be used for firewood or simply discarded. Thus, each piece is unique and enhances the beauty, nobility and quality of the materials that arrive at the workshop of its author.
