Contemporary Design
The overall mood that defines the collection is “stability, calmness, and rationality,” according to the studio’s lead designer, Zeng Peng, given the visual lightness of the materials balanced by their overall physical strength. Null’s laminated glass surfaces have been treated with gradients of opacity that shift from a deep blue to a translucent blue, then ultimately to a totally transparent shade. The color is more than how it reflects in our eyes. It is the color of the sky, human’s fundamental persona infused by the nature. Reflecting China’s recent industrial growth and intense environmental issues, Peng perceives and pursues the color of our innate preference – the color that our great nature provided.
The resulting reflections and refractions cast by the glass pay poetic homage to the spirit of Light and Space, an artistic movement of 1960s Southern California that was heavily influenced by environmental phenomena. Visually, the partial transparency of the design renders portions of it nearly invisible, conceptually rendiner it as immaterial as the sky itself.
The collection employees a sustainable method of lamination that is both environmentally friendly and fade resistance. Custom colors and sizes are available in an unlimited array of options. Please contact Pamono with your preference.
